Lana worked as a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist in private practice for more than 10 years prior to becoming a stay at home mom. She received her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. After graduating, she moved to New York City, where she continued her education and training.

Lana trained in modern psychoanalysis and believes that delving into unconscious traumas and bringing unconscious issues to the conscious mind is when true behavioral change will occur. Generational patterns and emotional DNA play a significant role in the unconscious mind, and subsequently, one’s behavior.

Lana relies first and foremost on her faith in God, and continually seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Recognizing the heart and soul, the unconscious, and emotional DNA is the beginning of understanding and accepting one’s true self.
Lana serves as a speaker on generational patterns and the unconscious mind, a registered mediator, a Commercial Real Estate associate broker, an author, and a community volunteer.

Lana is married to Dr. Richard Spera for 28 years and has one daughter, Victoria Spera.
