Lana trained in modern psychoanalysis and in-group studies.  Her clinical background is extensive with experience ranging from psychiatric hospitals, substance abuse clinics, and private practice psychotherapy.  She worked in an Employee Assistance Program offering private sessions both for mandatory and non-mandatory client referrals.  She presented workshops on topics such as conflict resolution, team building, and management styles.  Lana understands people’s need to feel heard, understood, valued, and validated.

Addressing emotional and psychological trauma is a process which requires courage, and it begins by identifying the truth and one’s real feelings.  Solidifying deep rooted psychological change is not for the faint at heart.  As Lana describes it, the process consists of two steps forward and one step backward.  Each time you gain a step forward.

Our emotional DNA, generational patterns, and unconscious mind are powerful forces in our psyche.  Once we begin to identify and recognize what the issues are and where the traumas originated, the process of “unpacking” the emotional issues will start.  We can then make emotionally healthy changes for new behavior to take root in our heart and soul.  The imperfect journey is a curvy, bumpy, smooth, and sometimes straight road to infinity.  We are only human after all.

Lana’s professional background and previous training as a psychotherapist has led her to speak on such topics, but not limited to generational patterns, bringing function from dysfunction, diving deep to discover the real you. Her passion to help others and bring their own truth to light is a lifelong process. She feels when issues are uncovered and processed on a visceral level it eventually leads to actual behavioral change.

Lana understands that there are 2 sides to every story and the conflict between individuals can be daunting.  It is the gray area is where people eventually meet, it is not the win-win situation as so many claim, but realistically and often it is the middle ground that a person can live with.  Addressing the emotional barriers is the beginning of a successful outcome in mediating.
